Connect2Dudley 2022: Year in Review
2022 is drawing to a close, and what a year we’ve had! It was the year Connect2Dudley launched, and so much has happened that we wanted to share with you before we leap into the new year. We caught up with Business Manager, Shabana Iqbal, to reflect on the past 12 months and look to the future.
What has been Connect2Dudley’s highlight of 2022?
We launched Connect2Dudley on September 5th, and it went off with a bang! Fill from day one, a smooth transition to the new service from the old provider. We have been building strong working partnerships with key stakeholders in the business and are seeing the advantages those relationships can bring.
Plus, Commercial Services Group Recruitment Division won Best Public/Third Sector Recruitment Agency at the Recruiter Awards this year! This is a testament to our collaborative partnership with local authorities, and we'd like to thank everyone for their support!
What recruitment challenges have you faced this year, and how have you overcome them?
We have had some challenges around finding suitable people for refuse and catering, but we have had some great successes working with the local job centre to find some great candidates. We have enjoyed attending job fairs and meeting lots of jobseekers, and we hope to do more next year.
What plans do Connect2Dudley have for 2023?
Grow and expand! We are really excited to be able to continue growing and expanding into new areas and continue to support Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council with their agency requirements.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support this year, and we look forward to working together in 2023!
